The RIO Elite Gold XP is a versatile, half-size heavy fly designed to excel in many trout fishing scenarios. This is your do it all trout line! If you are bringing one rod all day, this rod will help you meet every changing conditions. It excels with dry dropper and light indicator rigs. It performs great with light streamers, small and large dry flies. The Gold XP can go from fishing nymph rigs to distance dry fly fishing to sling dry droppers all in one day. The half-size heavy loads faster modern rods more effectively. The added weight, along with a balanced body, helps with fishing close in small rivers or from a boat along. The Gold XP can effectively fish light presentations at distance with precision thanks to it medium-long rear taper. The medium-long rear taper also helps with control while mending.
