The 50th Anniversary G Series Rod brings back a legendary rod. The 50th Anniversary version is slower than the current iteration of the G Series. Scott released the first 9 foot 4wt fly rod in the 70s that changed fly fishing. A true medium action graphite rod, slow-medium by modern standards, with exceptional line control and accuracy. It lives for single dry fly days. The G Series was originally designed to unlock technical water like the Henry's Fork and the Paradise Valley spring creeks. Designed to play big trout on light tippet, it has since graced nearly every storied trout stream across the globe. The 50th Anniversary G904/4 is not an exact replica of the original. Scott has built the blanks to spec with updated components and modern technology alongside a fresh look. Please note it has a significantly different action compared to the current G Series. It should exemplify the feeling of the original Scott nine foot 4wt.
