The easy going Lamson Guru Rods have plenty of precision and control. The medium-fast action will instruct novice casters on timing or hone an expert's stroke. They have enough power to apply modern fly fishing techniques. Slower does not mean no power, for the Guru its means GO. Go with purpose and thought as the Guru tries to guide you to become a better angler. It's probably the best medium to medium-fast rod in the 200 to 300 dollar price range. A lot of budget rods are either fast and soulless (but get the job done) or sacrifice all power for a softer action, making them poor nymph and streamer rods. The Guru does neither and is instead just a solid rod, that balances flex and power like how most rods used to, at a great price point. All Guru Rods feature Lamson's bombproof Lockdown reel seat in storm grey and a satin dark pearl finish alongside storm grey accents. The 4, 5, and 6wts have a modified ritz style grip while the 7 and 8 weights have a full wells grip with a fighting butt. All rods comes with a cordura rod tube with internal dividers.
