New for April 2024 Phil Rowley Lake Lines have an integrated tippet ring for an easy tie off point and smooth line leader connections.

RIO's Ambassador Series of lake lines are designed by Phil Rowley. Phil feels that long leader presentations are a key to success when fly fishing in lakes. Integrated tippet rings allow for super smooth connections so you to bring long leaders into the rod without binding at the tip.Tippet rings also allow for quick changes on the water. Think of fishing a damsel on a super long leader and floating lake line and then quickly changing to a strike indicator set up completely rigged. Basically you are cutting off one improved clinch knot and tying another. Quick and efficient changes mean more time on the water fishing productively.

RIO Ambassador Lake Line Series are built with RIO's SlickCast and have a welded rear loop and integrated front tippet ring. Rowley designs include Stillwater Floater, AquaLux, Midge Tip, Midge Tip Long, Midge Tip Hover and Midge Tip Long Hover in line weights 6 and 7.

Stillwater Floater: The line is designed to easily cast long leaders and multi-fly setups, as well as to turnover indicator rigs.

AquaLux: AquaLux line has a 30ft clear intermediate head that sinks at 1.5 to 2ips, and is deadly efficient for fishing between 2ft and 6ft in depth in stillwaters. The short head makes it very easy to cast, and reduces the number of false casts required to get the line out - resulting in more fishing time. The head integrates seamlessly into a translucent green, intermediate sinking running line that is super slick, and shoots with the utmost ease.

Midge Tip Lines: The Premier Midge tip is a floating line with either a 3ft or 6ft long, clear intermediate tip that sinks 1.5 inches per second or a gray hover option that sinks 1 inch per second. This is deadly effective on windy days, when fishing in shallow bays, close to lake shores or over the top of weed beds, and is perfect for fishing nymphs, emergers, and chironomids (buzzers). Each line is built with a supple coldwater core, SlickCast coating, and welded loops on the front and back for fast rigging. With options available in regular and long, hover and intermediate, it is a must have line for lake anglers everywhere.
