Description

European Wild Boar is commonly used in Atlantic salmon flies. Guard hairs are used to imitate feelers in shrimp style flies. We find Wild Boar great for feelers in shrimp patterns for steelhead and saltwater flies as well.

European Wild Boar guard hair is stiff and fly tiers don't need to many fibers to create the desired effect of feelers or smaller wings. The Wild Boar under fur is a superb dubbing material much like seal furn.

Pieces are generally 19 x 10 x 3 cm.
