The Igniter Fly Rod is capable of handling monster flies, big winds and dealing with the demanding conditions anglers might encounter anywhere. The Igniter is an all water rod series. Take it to the saltwater with confidence and then fish it on the Missouri with some of Galloup's heavy streamers. Floating lines, sinking tips, full sinking lines the Igniter can handle them all.
Should I line up the Ignite? We feel that the Igniter can handle many of the standard fly lines well bumping up a line size. Ie. the 5wt Igniter can handle a 6wt line. That said the Igniter possesses wicked line speed capabilities with same size lines as well. Longer floating tapers, same line size will allow you to cast into the next zip code.
Modern lines have become so species specific that we recommend using the line on your Igniter rod that suits the conditions you are going to encounter.
