Guide Reviews, Video, and Sales on Rio In Touch Versitip II Fly Line, a versatile, all-condition Multi-tip line.

Any fly angler who travels some distance to fish, knows that there is significant uncertainty regarding the water conditions they may encounter. High water, low water, fast or slow. The fish may be shallow or deep, and being there is the best way to judge these matters. The Rio Versitip II is a most versatile Mulit-Tip fly line and will excel in the vast majority of fishing situations, with a wide range of rod weights from 5-10, angler casting styles, fishing environments, and fly sizes. By the way, this is a great line for Alaska or the great Lakes regions.

Does InTouch equal ConnectCore? Rio is increasingly incorporating the Connect core into their premier fly lines because these line cores stretch less than 3 percent versus over 22 percent for traditional fly lines. Less stretch means better feel, hook setting, and more effective presentations too. So when you see In Touch or ConnectCore it is good and means a represents a superior fly line for all applications.

Line Taper: This line, has what we would refer to as aggressive and Rio calls it a ñpowerfulî taper to throw the sink tips and cover the possibility of large or weighted flies.

PLEASE NOTE the line taper chart insert above.

Overall/Head Length: approximately 100f ft/35 ft

Color options: This multi-tip line has a straw colored line body with a light green tip. The Intermediate tip is clear.

Floating Tip: This may be the most used tip, or the least used, depending on conditions where you fish.

Sink tips included: Intermediate clear + Type 3 = Type 6.

Welded Loops: The front end of the main line, plus both ends of the sink tips have welded loops to ease the process of quick rigging tips and leaders.
