The Patagonia Boulder Fork Rain Jacket has become our go to rain shell for travel, local fishing and more. The Boulder Fork is the perfect mix of weight and "waterproofness" giving you a super versatile shell.
Some will remember the Patagonia Ultralight Packable Jacket, and of course the Torrentshell Jacket ( still in the line up) we put the Boulder Fork Jacket as a mix of these two great shells. We had a chance to wear this jacket at home here in Oregon during fall downpours. We took it to Brazil in the super humid rainforest, and to The Bahamas for some serious wind on bumpy boat rides, The Boulder Fork shined in at all venues. The Boulder Fork is very packable so for those extended trips when weight is critical, ie you can leave your winter steelhead jacket at home. The Boulder Fork is very breathable and very waterproof. It uses Patagonia's H2NoŽ Performance Standard and has a DWR coating. An adjustable hood with visor, watertight zippers, functional front pockets ( large enough for large fly boxes ) and stormproof cuffs and hem make the Boulder Fork a must have rain jacket for the angler.
